So far it has been a wild game in Chapel Hill between North Carolina and the secondary Notre Dame. The back-and-forth goal was a 14-point tie at the end of the first quarter and the touchdown from Notre Dame quarterback Ian Book was quite a spectacle.
Looking for a second hit from the four-yard line, Book bobbed the snap. He was pressured by the tar heels and decided to climb all the way back to the 23 yard line. As player Chris Fowler pointed out, no one saw this game becoming a touchdown, but it did.
Book threw himself right and found Kyren Williams walking back just over the 15-yard line. Williams ran and dived for the pylon to finish the game at 14 after a successful PAT. You can see the video below:

During a recent appearance on ESPN’s Keyshawn, JWill and Zubin, Book spoke of his success this season, crediting Notre Dame’s young offensive coordinator and former Irish quarterback Tommy Rees.
« We’ve got to a point where I know he’ll call (a piece) before he calls, » Book said of Rees last week. “It’s an amazing feeling to be on the same page as your OK. We kind of went through it all together because he started out as my quarterback coach. Now he’s the coordinator. He just helped me learn everything. «
Book also talked about how helpful Rees has been this season and the close relationship the two have.

« Learning from someone who did it in the exact same place I did – they went through the same privileges and pressures – just helps, » Book said. “He understands everything. He’s more than a trainer. He is a friend. I can go to his office and talk about anything. He is there for me and I really appreciate that. He’s been through everything I’ve been through here. A lot of people don’t like Notre Dame. There is a big goal on our back. And then you become a quarterback, the goal is even bigger on your back. ”
