You can still travel to open venues or facilities, but your aim should be to reduce the number of trips you make whenever possible.

If you live in a tier 2 area, you must continue to follow tier 2 rules when traveling to a tier 1 area. Avoid traveling to or staying overnight in Tier 3 areas other than required

The levels have been set by ministers based on public health recommendations consisting of falling rates (especially among those over 60), rising or falling rate, positivity in the general population, pressure on the NHS and the local context revealed.
