TOKYO (Reuters) – Japan’s Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga said Friday that he was determined to make the Tokyo Olympics happen.
His comments came after a media report said the government had concluded that the Games would have to be canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, quoting an unidentified coalition source.
Suga said in parliament that he would work closely with Tokyo and the International Olympic Committee.
