The first major event of the NFL off-season could be at risk due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The status of the league’s annual scouting combine will be determined in the near future after weeks of discussions, with various options being considered sources said Adam Schefter of ESPN.
According to reports, the NFL could keep the combine, which the teams are using to evaluate the best prospects for designs, in Indianapolis in February in a reduced form, postpone the event until April, or entirely and rely solely on regional combines.
If the combine is delayed, it may affect the timing of the 2021 NFL draft and the timing of the free agency’s start.
