World news – New suburb as the first of 4000 blocks on the market

The first of 4,000 new lots is on sale this week at Stocklands Aura Development, two years ahead of schedule.

The blocks will be launched on Wednesday when Stockland unveils its third suburb within the $ 5 billion master-planned community in Caloundra South.

The suburb, named Banya after the bunya tree, will compromise 4,000 homes and townhouses when completed.

It will include a wide range of community facilities, including a state primary school and a private 12th grade preparatory school, two neighborhood village centers, and up to three day care centers.

It will be the third suburb in the Caloundra South parish to serve 50,000 residents at full capacity.

Josh Sondergeld, Aura Project Leader, said 56 lots will be released on Wednesday and the rest will be staged over the next 10 years.

« There are 2,000 apartments that are part of the first application area, and then more will be submitted to the state government, bringing them to around 4,000, » Sondergeld said.

« There are 56 tickets to be won this week and the land will continue to be open regularly. »

Mr Sondergeld said the first lots would be registered in good time for buyers to take advantage of the expanded HomeBuilder program.

He said this would also allow construction to be completed and residents by the end of the year.

He said the release had been brought forward two years to meet demand for new homes and land.

« Following the HomeBuilder announcement, requests have increased. Several country and townhouse releases have been accelerated to meet demand, » he said.

Banya is bordered to the north by Aura Brook, a 2 km nature reserve with the first stages currently under development, and to the south by Bells Creek to the north.

Parks and green spaces will also be a central feature of the suburb, with a 5 hectare sports and recreation park and a number of neighborhood parks and playgrounds.
