A man was shot dead by police officers while investigating an apparent murder in Wakefield Tuesday morning.
Wakefield police responded to a house in town and found a woman dead, according to a statement from the office of the Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan.
Additional officers were called in and a man was shot dead by police during the investigation, the statement said.
