The Wild Card Weekend starts on Saturday with three games: Colts-Bills, Rams-Seahawks and Buccaneers-Washington.
Playoff football returns to Buffalo for the first time since 1996 – and in one season , in which there are mostly no fans, they are allowed to see the Bills Stadium. Those who get in will see the home team – with a scorching offensive led by third-year QB Josh Allen and top NFL receiver Stefon Diggs – take on an 11-win Colts team that does one bloody one Rookie rides and Jonathan Taylor runs back. He and veteran QB Philip Rivers will get their money’s worth against a Bills defense that only allowed 18.3 points per game for the last six weeks of the season.
This playoff showdown will be the rubber match between the two Be NFC West opponents. The Rams were able to slow down Seattle QB Russell Wilson in their week 10 matchup, with the Seahawks demanding some level of revenge five weeks later. When the keys are handed over, LA’s high-ranking passport defense will attempt to defeat Wilson and his high-flying receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett.
Washington was a surprising addition to the playoff field, winning the final game of the NFL regular season to win NFC East. Despite their 7-9 record, Washington has one of the best pass defenses in the NFL, with only 21 TDs received in the season and 36 20-yard passing games possible in the league. That’s important against a QB like Tom Brady, who used the Deep Ball with trusted receivers Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown on the way to its best season in over a decade.
