Nepal’s leg moth Sandeep Lamichhane, who recently signed with the Hobart Hurricanes for the upcoming Big Bash League season, tested positive for COVID-19, he revealed on his social media. He has had body pain since Wednesday and is currently in domestic isolation.
Having previously performed for the Melbourne Stars, Lamichhane was slated to play his third season for the Hurricanes, which will be a big blow if he participates in the upcoming edition that is now in danger.
Nepal should hold a training camp for its cricketers at the Tribhuvan University Stadium in Kathmandu. However, since up to four of their players tested positive along with an employee, this throws a wrench into their works. Lamichhane is the latest positive test after captain Gyanendra Malla, vice captain Dipendra Singh Airee and batsman Rohit Paudel as well as employee Pradeep Lama.
