Jimmy Butler # 22 of the Miami Heat reacts in the first half against the Los Angeles Lakers in the third game of the 2020 NBA Finals.
The Miami Heat will wear their much-anticipated « Vice Versa » jerseys tomorrow when the team returns home to face the Oklahoma City Thunder. The fifth and final edition was announced in December with no debut date. The delivery is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.. m. on Jan. . 4 at the American Airlines Arena.
The organization has never been shy about holding back the excitement for the neon glow jerseys. No wonder they’ve gotten rid of the big guns on social media again. The Heat teased the debut by hiring Rick Ross to narrate a 90-second clip with star players like Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, Duncan Robinson, Tyler Herro, Andre Iguodala, Avery Bradley and Udonis Haslem’s « Blinding Lights » plays.
« I know there are gifts for my family, it’s always the runner-up stuff, » Heat trainer Erik Spoelstra told reporters about Sun-Sentinel in South Florida. « You can’t get enough of this. It’s cool to walk around town and see the different variations of Vice gear. ”
Spoelstra called this year’s design the « best version » of the four Vice jerseys. According to LockerVision, The Heat will wear the slim uniforms 11 times and hopefully they will help shake a team that is staggered into a 2-3 start.
Jimmy Butler’s return to the Heat lineup didn’t calm too many people down. The heart and soul of Miami fought mightily for that ankle, shooting 6-0 off the floor while scoring just two points in 27 minutes.
Not only is the team based on Butler’s success – a point lamented by Spoelstra’s pick and roll comment the other day – but the Heat understands how much his presence affects the squad.
« He’s a big part of this team, » said heat point guard Goran Dragic. « He’s our leader. We follow him. It takes time to get back into the rhythm. I know he’ll bounce back. If he plays well, everyone follows. ”
Erik Spoelstra said the heat didn’t use Jimmy Butler’s injury as an excuse for her uneven start to the season:
First and foremost, the heat needs to return to basics and continue to clear the ground. That and clean up the sales. In terms of sales, they are last in the NBA (19). 8%) and give up the stone on almost 1/5 of their possession.
« We have enough familiarity, we know what our system is, we know what to do to be successful, » said Spoelstra after Miami’s 93-83 loss to Dallas. « We know what our identity is and we haven’t achieved it consistently enough. ”
Miami lost a player in training on Sunday after security guard Avery Bradley was out due to health and safety logs. It’s unclear whether he tested positive for COVID-19, but he missed the session with a « stomach ailment, » the team said. His status for tomorrow’s game against Oklahoma City is in the air.
Bradley is in his freshman year in the heat after winning a championship with the Los Angeles Lakers a few months ago. If the suspended defender can’t leave, Kendrick Nunn would likely start in his absence. The Heat has made five different starting lineups in five games this season.
Avery Bradley, who was out of training today due to the NBA’s health and safety protocols, is listed as questionable with a stomach condition.

“Avery is a guy who can play on any system. As long as it’s a competing team, he’ll fit, ”Spoelstra said of Bradley. « He’s a really good basketball player, he’s a winner and a two-way player. ”
